Established in 1912, National Taipei University of Technology (NTUT or Taipei Tech) is among the top public technology universities in Taiwan and is situated in the capital city of Taipei. The university is accredited by AACSB and is also a member of the Global Research & Industry Alliance (GLORIA). NTUT specializes in engineering, science, technology, innovation and design, and has an enrollment of more than 11,000 students with around 1,000 international students.

Taipei city is a world-class destination for both students and tourists alike. Among the many incredible attractions found in this city is the famous Taipei 101 skyscraper, which is the tallest building in Taiwan. Another popular place is Tamsui Old Street which is a boardwalk-like area located along the riverfront filled with cafés, carnival games, shops, and snack stalls. Other attractions include the National Palace Museum, Yangmingshan National Park, and Shi-men Ting for shopping. Must-try foods include Taiwanese popcorn chicken, “jipai” (Taiwanese fried chicken steak), beef noodle soup, scallion and daikon pancakes, braised pork rice, oyster omelets, and pineapple cake.
