Established in 1965, the University of California Irvine (UCI) is classified as a Research I university and recognized to provide an education that is similar to that of an Ivy League’s. There are currently over 35,000 students enrolled in a range of disciplines offered by the university. UCI’s main campus and surrounding buildings are uniquely located around a serene park known as Aldrich Park.

Irvine is home to many beaches, spectacular hiking and biking trails, and tranquil parks. Some of the most popular beaches include Crystal Cove State Park, The Wedge, Laguna Beach and Main Beach. Other must-sees in the city include the Orange County Great Park, Balboa Pier, Balboa Island, and Irvine Regional Park.
